I have a sofiasip account configured with the server toronto2.voip.ms. However, when I receive a call, the caller ID is phonenumber@serverip (as shown in the screenshot).
Yet, empathy certainly knows that toronto2.voip.ms == that IP address. It should not show that IP address to me:
- it makes the phone number harder to read/distinguish quickly
- it might scare mom & pop
- do we care from what server the call comes from?
Empathy should strip out the IP address, or at least replace it by the "text" version (toronto2.voip.ms) so it is clearer.
In the case where the "caller ID with name" is available, it should show that instead (see also https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43827).
