Feature Request for Static IP support
Some SIP trunks, like asterisk, have configuration settings (in sip.conf) where a softphone / sip client doesn't have to authenticate with user/password, but instead has a static ip... (by changing host=dynamic to host=st.at.ic.ip in the client's settings in sip.conf) -- I think this setup is practical when the softphones are on the same LAN, and there are not too many of them.
When trying to configure Ekiga as SIP softphone, I haven't found a setting to be able to disable user/password registration attempts with the SIP registrar, for this situation where they are not needed, because static ips are assigned to the softphones...
I do not have enough programming experience to be able to modify Ekiga to give it this feature to be able to disable SIP user/pass registration attempts, and I therefore humbly suggest this feature to the developers.
