Missing pieces and comparison with Seahorse
Important features missing from Key Rack
I18n #3 (closed)Viewing other host keyrings than the default one (This feature is called Collections and is already supported by oo7) #10 (closed)Search in key lists #11 (closed)Reload flatpak keyrings when they change #1 (closed)
More niche features Seahorse supports
Things around manual passwords storage. (All features of Secret Service.)
Creating a new collection.Manually storing a password with a description. (No support for attributes) !20 (merged)Locking a collection. This will set the collection into a state where future access to it requires entering the password.
Other feature
Changing password for keyrings/collections. I think this is not a Secret Service feature but involves interacting with the files that the keyring daemon stores directly? Usually, the default keyring/collection uses the same password as the user account and is unlocked on login. #15 (closed)
Features that Seahorse has but are not planned for Key Rack
- Support for GPG keys
- Support for SSH keys
- Support for SSL (X.509) keys/certificates
I think these things all deserve a separate app.
