I like that idea. Should we maybe also change the title of the dialog from Initial Setup
to Create Custom Application Launcher
?
I assume you guess the name of the application from the file name, do we maybe want to change the first character to upper case (i.e., Golang
)? What will we do for names like some-long-name.ext
, maybe replace -
by
?
This merge request also has some images for a recently added feature in the add-to-panel dialog, which now shows the list of added applets:
I agree, it can be improved. Feel free to add a screenshot, fix the links and improve the page. When you are done just post here again and I can take a look.
Then we would need to add /usr/local to the default search path of jhbuild since there is no way to specifya module specific search path. I had that in an earlier version and removed it again.
Parts of this were merged via !41 (merged)
This is a work in progress to add a list of active applets to the preferences dialog and allow users to remove the applets from the panel.
Functionality to reorder applets on the panel is still missing.

Its possible I made a mistake. When I saw this error I tried several things. The change that appeared to solve it was after I enforced source dir builds. Maybe I was mistaken about that.
