```
G_MAXUINT - array->len == G_MAXUINT - 0, G_MAXUINT > 0 ∴ no g_error
array->len + len == 0 + 2147483640, 2147483640 > 0 ∴ continue
g_array_elt_len (array,
array->len + len + array->zero_terminated) ==
g_array_elt_len (array, 0 + 2147483640 + 0) ==
array->elt_size * 2147483640 ==
16 * 2147483640 == 34359738240
34359738240 > G_MAXUINT ∴ want_alloc = 4294967168 (or 42…)
4294967168 > 0 ∴ continue
want_alloc = g_nearest_pow (want_alloc) == g_nearest_pow (4294967168) == 0
want_alloc = MAX (want_alloc, MIN_ARRAY_SIZE) == MAX (0, 16) == 16
array->data = 16 bytes
array->alloc = 16
```
array (somewhat by blind luck) can store a single element - "fortunately" we recorded the real allocation size so initially things work
Ultimately `g_array_maybe_expand` fails for the 2147483649th point when g_nearest_pow again hits zero thus shrinking the buffer to only 16 bytes - now `g_array_append_vals` is memcpy'ing to a address based on an `array->len` completely disconnected from reality
<br>
…that's not supposed to happen right?
<br><br>
Maybe I'm missing something but I'd expect `g_array_maybe_expand` to `g_error` in this situation (as g_renew/realloc_n do)
<hr>
I can't figure out what `MAX (want_alloc, MIN_ARRAY_SIZE)` is trying to achieve either - seems like a `* array->elt_size` has gone missing but git blame claims line has never changed - mysteryhttps://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/4520Choosing workspace from Apps section glitch2021-08-04T10:33:44ZMert Can DemirChoosing workspace from Apps section glitch<!--

The dialog doesn't include information about the flatpak that has been updated - it is for updates that have been installed offline, during reboot.
My suggestion would be to open the details page for the app when it's update notification is opened.

Steps to reproduce:

If I go to CUPS interface at `localhost:631` I can edit the printer name.
But GNOME settings still displays the old name.
Mmmmh, after checking `/etc/cups/printers.conf` I think I see what's happening.
CUPS web interface writes the printer name in the `Info Foo` line, while GNOME control center keeps displaying the string which identifies the printer, as Foo in `<Printer Foo>` (which maybe cannot be changed?).
It's the same string listed by `lpstat -a`.
Here's an overview:
| **printers.conf** | **CUPS admin** | **GNOME Control Center** |
| --------------- | ----------- | --------------------------- |
| \<Printer ID\> | Queue Name | Printer name (not editable) |
| Info | Description | n/a |
| Location | Location | Location (editable) |
In CUPS interface the id is called "Queue name"; the Info is called "Description" and it's what gets modified when you want to rename the printer.
So my blind guess is that control center should display and edit the value of Info.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/connections/-/issues/62New connection popover spacing2021-08-04T15:10:46ZAllan DayNew connection popover spacingThere are spacing issues is the recently updated new connection popover:

The main issue is that the groups of UI aren't sufficiently differentiated. This stems from the fact that is equal vertical space between every row in the popover. Instead, there should be three groups:

Go to windows>dialogue boxes>Tool dialogue, the box still does not appear as it did previously. It does not appear anywhere on the screen. It does not matter which tool is in use. to (imho lossless) compress PNG-images.
However if I resave it in Gimp it almost always increases file-size, even with the strongest compression, even if I simplify the image (remove black dots/dust from scan or I remove alpha-channel, crop, ...)
The suggestion is the PNG-analogy similar to @Jehan 's [comment](https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/6920#note_1125040) to keep the JPEG representation around in memory. So the original PNG-compression should be tried on resave if it is smaller to the Gimp-suggested one.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/-/issues/4153GtkColumnView Sorting Underlying GListModel2021-08-04T16:03:27ZAnna SchumakerGtkColumnView Sorting Underlying GListModelI'm working on a music player app, and I really like the GListModel / GtkColumnView API so far. ## Description
Currently, there doesn't seem to be a way to save a BMP with RLE encoding through the PDB interface. The attached patch against 2.2.10 adds a new argument to file_bmp_save(), rle_encoding, that enables RLE encoding if set to 1. I'm assuming this breaks old scripts, so I wouldn't expect the patch to be included in the 2.2 branch. (Just in case you were wondering, I haven't applied it to the Debian packages)

### Description of the bug
<!--Please describe your issue with details.
Add screenshot or other files if needed.(write it after the > symbol)-->
Mysteriously, my GIMP instance crashes whenever I attempt to free select something on a canvas of a specific size. Everything works fine until I connect the free selection into one region, whereas GIMP immediately crashes without further complaint. This happens regardless of whether I'm using freehand or polygonal segments.
I've attempted to figure out what canvas size causes this issue. So far, it appears that the canvas must be between 740px and 759px wide, and the canvas must be at least 19000px tall (and that the crashes occur up to 30000px tall at least). Unsure if these values are tied to my local computer or other settings.
### Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? <!--[Always / Randomly / Happened only once ] (write it after the > symbol)--> Always (on my device, at least)
Reproduction steps:
1. Create a 750px by 20000px canvas.
2. Attempt to free select a region.
…
Expected result: Region selection
Actual result: GIMP silently dies, leaving nothing but disappointment in its wake.
### Additional information
I'm happy to provide a backtrace but unsure how to do so on Windows. I attempted running GIMP with verbose console output, but as the crash simply closes all windows, I'm unable to actually access any crash output.
Happy to also provide more information. I don't have another computer handy so I can't test if this only involves my device.2.10.26https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evince/-/issues/323Allow to select as image to copy from djvu documents2021-08-04T17:40:41ZBugzillaAllow to select as image to copy from djvu documents## Submitted by Mikhail Gavrilov `@mikhail.v.gavrilov`
