On Windows 10, a 3 finger swipe to the right or left brings up the window switcher(alt-tab menu), and it would switch highlight according to your finger movement(which is left or right).
### How would you like it to work
Since gnome uses 3 finger gestures for workspace switching and to toggle overview, and the fact that GNOME's window switcher works differently, here's how it would work for gnome:
1. Four finger swipe left or right activates it/switched between icons(emulating super+tab/super+shift+tab)
2. Once activated, four finger swipe down to see the preview or to select between multiple instances of 1 app(Super+`/arrow DOWN)
3. If already on preview mode, swipe up to return to the main window switcher(arrow UP)

I have a task to develope multi-factor authorization for Linux systems with the ability to select an additional factor from the list.
PAM module is implemented. It can show chouce menu in terminal.
I have`t found a mechanism to display a dynamic dropdown menu or list for selecting an authorization factor.
Found mentions of extensions for GDM but couldn't figure out how to use them.
If there is such a mechanism, tell me where to look for documentation on it. And if not, then I can suggest an idea for the implementation of a scripting language to display dynamic authorization scripts. Something similar to using JavaScript in the browser. I can also try to implement this idea.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/154Error when saving after closing JPEG preview of exported image2021-06-29T08:53:25ZBugzillaError when saving after closing JPEG preview of exported image## Submitted by Jesper Villadsen

## Description
Distribution/Version: Debian GNU/Linux 3.1
1. Ctrl-N to create a new file.
2. Create a new layer.
3. Choose save and give the file the name "x.jpg".
4. Choose "export" to flatten the image.
5. Mark "Show preview in image window". This acts like a button... instead of
marking the field a preview window appears. I did not expect that.
6. The preview window has a cancel button but it is disabled and the window it
is behind the window "Save image". I would have expected the preview window to
be in front and the cancel button to be enabled.
7. Close the preview window (to continue with the process of saving the image).
8. Now you are asked if you want to save the preview. Since I expect to leave
the preview before saving the window I choose "Don't save".
9. Now you get the error message "Saving '`<folder>`/x.jpg' failed: Plug-In could
not save image".
Sometimes you just have to start over - other times I have had not other way
than to close the application and lose the changes.
Suppose that you choose to save the preview in step 7. Then you go through the
whole thing again (the 'Save image' window, the 'Save as JPEG' window etc.)

Trying to keep both of them updated is a hard job. IMHO we don't need both.
My suggestion is to make "Keyboard Shortcuts" page official and update it according to the codebase. We don't need to delete all information from Help document but we may put a sentence that shows which one is official.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evince/-/issues/1559help: Remove Keyboard Shortcuts documentation2021-06-29T02:31:17ZGhost Userhelp: Remove Keyboard Shortcuts documentationDue to, Evince has a Keyboard Shortcuts dialog, we don't need to keep the Keyboard Shortcuts help page.

The Shell's notification area pulls/gets notifications from the evolution data server. I am concerned about sticky notifications, specifically reminders about events.
The sticky reminder is displayed in the Shell correctly when the reminder is signalled from the data server. However, if subsequently, the event on the data server gets the reminder removed, then the Shell does not remove the notification, even though it is not applicable anymore.
For me this happens routinely in a cloud environment.
On the computer running Gnome&Evolution, the Event is scheduled for Day 3 with a reminder 20 minutes before the event starts, say 8am in the morning, so notification at 7:40.
On Day 2 in the evening, on another device, the event is edited, reminder is completely removed.
On Day 3 I turn on the computer and Gnome Shell shows me the notification at 7:40. Evolution then syncs the calendars. But the notification is then never removed, even though it is not desired anymore.

![image](/uploads/c726547c5f4c380b05b4b70a443e0947/image.png)
This is easily achieved with a custom child widget and sure enough it was doable in GTK3, but in GTK4 GtkMenuButton doesn't have a `set_child` function, unlike GtkButton that does.
Currently it's possible to work around this issue by calling `menubutton.get_first_child().set_child()`, but it's kinda hacky and having a proper API would probably be better.

This doesn't like it would be an expected behaviour in this case, and additionally doesn't seem to be useful. For instance, there is no context menu in this view for "open with", unlike in e.g. the main Builder file tree.
Instead, it would seem to make more sense for Builder to show something like an "open with" dialogue window ("This doesn't seem to be a format Builder can edit").
Additionally, at least until Builder can reliably determine that it definitely can't handle a file itself (see e.g. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-builder/-/issues/1204), a "Try to open with Builder anyway" option would be useful, at which point Builder could try to open the file itself, treating it as text.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/1289Missing warnings/indications during ongoing Bluetooth MitM attacks2021-06-28T14:56:49ZJiska ClassenMissing warnings/indications during ongoing Bluetooth MitM attacks<!--

Dear Gnome Developers,
we are currently in a responsible disclosure process with the Bluetooth SIG, since the current specification requires to notify users on authentication failures, but none of the actual implementations follow this procedure. User notifications would significantly improve resistance against practical MitM attacks. The issue was initially reported to the Bluetooth SIG on February 27th, thus, you might have already been informed by them.
We are planning to submit a paper to WiSec 2021, which has a submission deadline on March 18th, but a publication much later in June, if the paper gets accepted. A current draft of the paper is [attached](/uploads/29556ac5022b1acad8a7dbf250df648e/keychange.pdf), and it contains all relevant information. We also have some demo videos and test scripts for other operating systems, if you want to take a look at them [1].
On Linux, a MitM that changes the key can be easily simulated by pairing a device and then later on changing the link key in `/var/lib/bluetooth/mac1/mac2/info`. This causes an authentication failure, as visible when opening Wireshark as root and monitoring Bluetooth. According to the Bluetooth 5.2 specification on page 1314, the user should be notified of a security issue.
Please contact us if you have any questions about the disclosure process or feedback regarding to the paper.
Best,
Jiska

I've put example code below.
I think the fix in !278 involves comparing an unsigned int against a signed one (`if (G_MAXUINT - attr->end_index < add - remove)`). If we're removing more than we're adding, `add - remove` is negative, but C seems to compare it as an unsigned number, making it very large, so the comparison goes the opposite way from expected.

Top bar is missing the icon for the power menu (for power-off, suspend, etc). Opening the top bar right menu shows a strange entry without a title or icon, which only contains a shortcut to the power settings. Restarting Gnome does nothing. Enabling/disabling battery percentage in Tweaks makes top bar show the expected icon, and also removes the broken entry from the right menu.

1. Start Gnome
2. Observe the missing power icon

5. Enable/disable battery percentage in Tweaks
