As the tittle says, nautilus does not extract rar file with multiple parts. i don't know if the others archive type like zip also have this issue. but i'm currently trying to extract these rar files, something like:
when i double click file.part1.rar, nautilus only extracts that part, while file.part2.rar and file.part3.rar are left unextracted.
the extracted file from nautilus, for example, in ./file.part1/foo is unusable.
and i'm aware this is the limitation of unrar-free. and even after i installed non-free version, it still doesn't work on nautilus.
i hope nautilus can extract every part of the group of multiple .rar files out of the box.
i'm on fedora 37, gnome 43.3, currently on-screen keyboard doesn't work on all text field there is, like search bar on gnome software, on my firefox extension text field (bitwarden), and because i don't use physical keyboard, to workaround it, and i know it's reckless for password, i type it on plain text field, let's just say, text editor, and paste it on text field which on-screen keyboard doesn't work.
and here's my problem, my password shows up on word suggestion afterwards, and there's no way i could just remove it.
and of course this feature is useful for removing undesired words in general
this is a screenshot of implemented feature number 2 from gboard on android
i'd love to see an effect i'd call 'drop shadow' as shown on the right. in photoshop, there's only drop shadow(left), i have to 'create layer' on the effect and manually draw the rest of shadow to get the result on the right
i imagine the way a user to get this result would be with a toggle under the 'drop shadow' layer effect dialogue to switch between the two as pictured above
hi, i use mobile connection through android USB tethering to connect my pc to internet. and i noticed that software update is running in the background, it is undesirable behavior.
with other type of connection , i can just simply enable 'metered connection' in the setting to disable auto-update, but there's no option in 'Mobile Network' setting.
i think, the 'metered option' should avaliable in 'mobile network' setting, and should be enabled by default for obvious reason.
Proposed Mockups:
it's now working properly on gnome 42 (fedora 36)
Notice the Word's clock, agenda, and weather panel is trimmed on the right side when the Large Text option enabled
some panels are trimmed on the right side
it should show rectangle with nice rounded corner with contents fully displayed
note: i'm thrilled to find the multiple pages of app grid folder bug is fixed in this release, but it seems like another bug with large text appears in different place. i just hope, developers consider to test the shell with large text option enabled every time there's a visual changes. so the bugs like this don't need to be reported. thank you.
Hi, i'm having this issue with android USB tethering after i update to fedora 35 (gnome 41).
It was working on gnome 40:
it was working better on 3.38:
Steps to reproduce:
connect my phone to my PC with USB cable
enable USB tethering on my phone
PC is connected to USB Ethernet, wait for a while until Ethernet network disappear
mobile connection appears on shell/settings app
try to connect using either through shell/setting
no matter which profile i choose, my PC can't get connected to internet, stuck on connecting animation:
bonus: there's no way to remove network profile (APN) on setting, they just spamming my connection list on shell, it looks like making new copy if i press edit button. i have to run nm-connection-editor to remove them
I wish there would be no button on the bottom of the screen because it's obstructed by on-screen keyboard
In current lock screen, i always forget changing the display server (i do it pretty often) before i type the password. It's kinda annoying to dismiss the keyboard just to reach the button on the bottom of the screen
