Description
Created attachment 353168 If you want style, write CSS, not C.
Delete code that shade the sidebar.
The code is no longer really needed. It is not worth preserving. There is the CSS alternative for GUI designers. Style does not concern C programmers.
Before, we had 545 lines of C code and a shaded sidebar. Now, we have 305 lines but the sidebar is not shaded. It is a matter of taste that costs $7,500 according to SLOCCount. A regular sidebar (not shaded) is not that ugly.
The goal is GNOME 3. To go as far, we will have to throw away a lot of ballast.
