Network access enhancements
This is how the network access panel looks in the v1.0.5 now. As this is a follow-up of #1755 (closed) I have to say, I really like it.
Some things to improve though:
- What is the first entry "background data"? I, as a user, have no idea what background data is actually meant to be transferred there.
- It would be great to have more information on each entry. E.g. a small (i) icon next to each entry that e.g. states what the service is used for when hovering over it, e.g. "MusicBrainz is used for searching for lyrics."
Also, what has not really been addressed from #1755 (closed) is whether a service uses HTTPS. Note that for other apps on other OSes like iOS or Android HTTPS is nearly almost a requirement or you have to do special steps to be allowed to use HTTP.
You could e.g. also mention it in the (i) text ("This uses an insecure connection." – so only highlight the bad things, security should be the default nowadays, and this way you also have to write less).
