Unable to backup /etc running as root
Summary
I ran deja-dup as root to backup /etc
, but on the folders selection screen, when I select /etc
on the include list it duplicates the default "Home (root)" entry -- to be more precise, it seems to duplicate the whole list:
Also, it doesn't allow removing any of these entries. This behavior repeats for any other system folder (/*
) AFAICS
Reproduction Steps
- Run deja-dup as root from a sudo shell
- Click on "Create My First Backup"
- Click on the '+' button on the "Folders do backup" list
- Select /etc (or any other /* dir)
