Can't build anymore after the libhandy library upgrade
Since ubuntu i'm using doesn't have it.
I tried to put in libhandy as a subproject using the intructions on its page, by deleting this line to meson.build:
dependency('libhandy-1', version: '>= 0.80.0')
and adding
dependency('libhandy-1', version: '>= 0.80.0', fallback : ['libhandy', 'libhandy_dep'])
and adding a git submodule in .gitmodules
[submodule "subprojects/libhandy"]
path = subprojects/libhandy
url = https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libhandy.git
and downloading it with submodule init etc
Then ninja/meson finds the submodule (where before it failed because ubuntu), and builds, except it always fails at link time without any visible error. I'm at my wits end, i even added the verbose flag to the invocations of cargo build
but the final link step is so absurdly huge and the output doesn't say anything, so i have no clue.
