Extension should show activity indicator upon launch when StartupNotify is set to true
The StartupNotify setting in a desktop shortcut, when set, is intended to cause a short notification to occur while an application is launching. In previous versions of GNOME that used desktop icons by default, this notification was shown in the panel, and by modifying the mouse cursor:

This notification is useful from a UX perspective for Live USB distributions like Tails, where launching an application can take significantly longer than from a hard disk, and the user may be tempted to launch an application multiple times if there is no activity indicator. On the SecureDrop team, seeing this UX problem caused us to add StartupNotify
to all our Tails desktop shortcuts, but unfortunately this will no longer work in Tails 4, which uses this extension to restore desktop icons.
Would it be possible to modify the extension to interpret the StartupNotify setting in line with the specification above?
