Inconvenient keyboard height

I'm using squeekboard on a convertible laptop, and the latest version where the height was appropriately sized was 1.15.0. Currently (in 1.20) the buttons are large enough to press with a finger, but it's inconvenient and slow to type. That's because they're gathered too closely in the middle of the screen, preventing the use of both hands.
