Proximity sensor while on a mumble call (or other audio/video calling application)
For gnome-calls we keep track of incoming calls and blank the display based on the proximity sensor input.
I have recently started using Mumble more on my phone and have been wishing for the same feature.
For Calls we have extra code, but I was wondering if we could come up with a more generic approach that would also work for e.g. jitsi meetings or other popular voice/conference applications.
I've just checked with pactl
and media.role
is game
for Mumble and for Jitsi (running in FF - I was alone in my meeting room so maybe there were no actual audio streams to inspect) I couldn't find anything at all.
Since that didn't work out-of-the-box I'm not sure how a solution could look like (but media.role
seemed like a reasonable/promising thing to look at)
