Media-Widget freezes UI

What problem did you encounter

The media-widget may freeze parts of the UI, for example the lockscreen or the dropdown top bar, while it is loading.

This seems to be an issue particularly in combination with gnome-podcasts, which sometimes needs several seconds to load all data for the media-widget. During this time, the lockscreen is completely unresponsive. Similarly, while the widget loads, the dropdown top bar in phosh does not load / freezes up, until the widget is loaded.

What is the current behaviour?

The UI being responsive even though the widget hasn't been loaded completely (asynchronously).

What is the expected behaviour?

UI freezes and lockup.

How to reproduce

Use some application which takes particularly long to gather all necessary information for the media-widget (gnome-podcasts via flatpak appears to be such candidate). It is probably worse on the Pinephone than it is on the Librem5 due to differences in CPU power.
