Scanning error in OpenPaperwork with networked Canon CanoScan 9000F flatbed scanner
I have a networked scanner (a Canon CanoScan 9000F flatbed). The app recognises it which is great! However, if I try 'test scan', leaving the resolution at the default of 300bpi, I always get an error: "error while scanning libinsane-quark: Libinsane opt[resolution]-> set_value() error : 0x40000003, invalid value (4)" (I previously and mistakenly added this error to a previous issue, and, as requested, I am now opening a new issue for it. I will post the comments kindly made before)
Jerome replied: "Probably a Libinsane bug. Can you submit a test scan report with IronScanner please ? (you can submit the report even if the test scan has failed)"
So, I tried to use the Linux pre-compiled? version of Iron-Scanner from https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/OpenPaperwork/ironscanner#linux but it failed - quite spectacularly! However, I was able to build from source (at the same URL) and Iron-Scanner worked and sent a test scan, as requested. Hopefully, this will be useful in determining the error cause? Thanks for all your assistance!
