Lipid Panel Levels
Summary
The ability to log & view cholesterol & trigyceride levels over time, (initially manually, and perhaps eventually hooked up to services that could populate it automatically), would be useful to have for those that access this information.
Educational blurbs about healthy cholesterol levels, tips for how to improve it, and the consequences of bad levels (e.g.coronary heart disease) could be added that would be beneficial to all, and may encourage people to begin tracking this data.

These numbers are expressed in mg/dl, but sometimes they are provided in mmol/L, so it should be able to toggle back and forth between them for data entry & viewing. There is more guidance that will be needed to really optimize this (e.g. advanced equations like Friedewald) but here are some initial starting points.
Total Cholesterol (TC or CHOL)
- Desirable (<200)
- Borderline (200-239)
- High Risk (>240)
High-Density Lipoproteins (HDL)
Aka good cholesterol
- High Risk (<35)
- Borderline (35-45)
- Desirable (>45)
Low-Density Lipoproteins (LDL)
Aka bad cholesterol
- Optimal (<100)
- Desirable (100-129)
- Borderline (130-159)
- High Risk (>159)
Triglycerides
- Desirable (<150)
- Borderline (150-250)
- High Risk (>250)
TC/HDL Risk Ratio
Could be automatically calculated based on the other inputs, or manually input. Males generally should be below 5, and females below 4.5.
- Desirable (<4.5)
- Borderline (4.5-5)
- High Risk (>5)
VLDL
- Desirable (<30)
- High Risk (>=30)
Non-HDL Cholesterol (nHDLc)
TC = HDL + nHDLc
- Optimal (<130)
