Direct people to Discourse instead of docs-feedback
We have a mail alias for docs-feedback, and nobody uses it. @davidk and I discussed some alternatives. Two things we have now that we didn't have then are GitLab and Discourse. Discourse seems friendlier, and will reach a wider audience when people use the link for general support, rather than filing issues. But, people asking for general help could indicate a gap in the docs, and that would be nice to track with an issues.
So, could we have a link that directs people to a Discourse input form that auto-sets some sort of metadata, and we use that metadata to automatically create a tracking issue somewhere under Teams/Documentation?
Some considerations:
- Can we set that metadata and do an automatic issue?
- Can/should we have templates?
- Do we need to deal with having things private by default, to screen for people posting passwords? Or is it enough to tell people they're posting to a public forum?
