UI for manually evicting keys
With #4, there will be times when the user locks their device but the keys don't get evicted. This is intended.
However, sometimes the user may actually want to forcibly evict their keys in that moment. For instance, I like do so whenever I hand my phone to the authorities (i.e. at an airport checkpoint), or whenever I feel my device may be at risk of getting stolen (i.e. if I'm walking through a sketchy part of town). In the US, compelling someone to use their fingerprint to unlock a device and compelling them to give a password are two very different things, legally speaking.
Android solves this (or at least used to; my phone doesn't seem to have this feature any more
- hide notifications from the lock screen
- disable fingerprint unlocking
- force the user to enter their password
Unclear if it would evict keys, but we should in our equivalent.
I'm pretty confident this is a feature we want, but it needs design work.
