Unlock/login redesign testing
The new unlock and login experience is in the process of being implemented. We're at the stage where we need to think about testing.
Let's use this issue to
- Identify what we want to test
- Figure out how to test
- Track progress and results
Questions to test
- Can people successfully unlock/login?
- Do we need an explicit prompt: "click or press a key to unlock"?
- Do existing users like the new design?
- Would people prefer it if we didn't have the initial clock state and just showed the password entry when the display wakes up?
How to test
- VM running Fedora 31, with the shell manually built following these instructions - tested and works if you run on X11
- JHBuild - no success with this so far; could be due to mitigating factors (Silverblue, Wayland)
