Should the performance-profile selection in g-c-c's power-pane persist over reboots or not?
g-c-c's power-pane recently has grown support for configuring the "Power Mode" aka performance-profile which most modern x86 laptops have, see e.g. : https://fedorapeople.org/~jwrdegoede/g-c-c-power-profile.png
There is some discussion about if this setting should be persistent over reboot or not, see: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/hadess/power-profiles-daemon/-/merge_requests/53
My take on this is that this setting should persist over reboot, as all other settings in the power-pane and more general, all other settings in g-c-c persist over reboot so not having this one persist would be quite inconsistent with how all the other settings work.
@hadess believes that instead the option should always be reset to the power-on-default of the system on every boot.
