# GNOME Circle Welcome! GNOME Circle aims to bring together all the great software that is made for and with the GNOME platform. Member projects receive additional support from the GNOME project, including: - Promotion and advertising - Contributors qualify for GNOME Foundation membership - Optional inclusion in the Circle Gitlab group ## Who can apply? Applications and libraries can both apply for inclusion. To qualify they must: - Have a good overall quality level - Use an [OSI-approved license](https://opensource.org/licenses) - Not have a contributor license agreement (CLA) Applications should: - Use the GNOME platform, including GTK - Be available to install as a Flatpak - Integrate with the GNOME desktop, including having an [app icon](https://developer.gnome.org/hig/stable/icon-design.html) and a description and screenshots that appear in the Software app - Have a well-designed UI which generally follows GNOME conventions Libraries should: - Extend the GNOME platform and target glib-based applications - Follow the [GNOME coding guidelines](https://developer.gnome.org/programming-guidelines/stable/) - Be used by at least one other project or app - Provide some documentation (at least API reference docs) The full list of criteria that are applied to Circle applications can be seen in the [Circle Committee's processing guide](https://gitlab.gnome.org/Teams/Circle/-/blob/master/processing_guide.md). ## How to apply?
