Failing to push translations to gnome-boxes

Ukrainian and Kazakh translators are unable to push their changes to the gnome-3-36 branches. They face an error with a submodule that has been in our project for many releases already without problems. Nothing has changed in that part of that codebase. We are very clueless about the issue.
