GitLab is slow to update pipelines
Every time I push a branch to GLib now, it takes about 2 minutes for GitLab to notice it and update the corresponding merge request (if one is already open). During that time, the merge request will continue to show the previous pipeline status, or will just show “Checking pipeline status” with a spinner.
Previously (a few weeks or a month ago, and prior to that) the pipeline status would update within a few seconds.
This might not sound like much, but when dealing with tens of issues per day this is noticeably disruptive.
I don’t know if it’s happening with other projects.
I’m not sure how best to debug this or provide further details, sorry. My very uneducated guess is that perhaps the message queue (or whatever it is which hooks different components of GitLab together) is being slow? Alternatively there might be something specific to the GLib repository which is causing problems; perhaps due to the number of open merge requests or git branches?
