Out-of-charset keypress causes ^Z
Switch to an 8-bit encoding (e.g. Cyrillic – ISO-8859-5
). Start cat
. Type a letter not present in this encoding, e.g. ß
.
Apparently a Ctrl+Z is triggered, stopping the process.
I think it used to do nothing (pre-ICU probably), and I think that's the desired behavior.
