[gtk4] copying full line drops the last line

  • GNOME Console 43 Beta (using gtk4)
  • Ubuntu 22.10

Issue

This issue does not affect GNOME Terminal 3.45.90 which uses GTK3 instead.

Copy a selection that includes the end of the line. One easy way to do this is to triple-click the line. Then right-click and choose Copy.

What happens

The last line is not copied. If there is only one line you are trying to copy, the clipboard is apparently empty.

Workaround

  • Just make sure to not select the end of the line when copying
  • Or if you want to select one more full line, it will drop the last line
