GNOME Videos only plays video for a short time, freezes and crashes.
GNOME Videos cannot play any video file, no matter what the format is:
What happens?
When Videos is started, it shows a list of available video files with thumbnails that could be played. It correctly takes them from the ~/Videos
directory. However, when I click on any of the thumbnails, the video opens and starts playing, but only plays several frames (usually up to 1 seconds of length) and freezes. After some time (up to 20 seconds), the whole application crashes.
This repeats with every single attempt to play various video sources -> it seems that the file type does not matter, or I did not find a video that would actually work.
