Wrong colours when playing a H.264 with gstreamer-vaapi installed
When I install gstreamer-vaapi
package and then load some H.264 file the colours are all wrong - see attached screenshot. This example is from a trailer of 'I am a Legend' that can be downloaded at http://downloads.dvdloc8.com/trailers/divxdigest/i_am_legend-1080p_blu-ray_trailer.zip. Uninstalling gstreamer-vaapi
makes the problem disappear.
When I play the same file using gst-play
the colours are ok.
I located a similar issue - #283 (closed) - but this one is at least a little bit different:
- the screen isn't black,
- I run Gnome under X11, not Wayland,
- gstreamer-vaapi bug linked by Bastien seems to relate to Wayland/Intel CPU/GPU.
System info:
- Ubuntu 18.04.2
- Totem 3.26.0 (probably, can't find 'About...' window)
- Radeon RX 560 (probably using 'amdgpu' driver)
- X11
