Unexpected behaviour with "shotwell -d"
Mandatory: Shotwell version the issue was seen with
The expected behaviour
When shotwell is launched with the -d option to create another library on the computer/user.
What was actually happening
When shotwell is launched with the following command:
shotwell -d /alt_path/to/my_photos
The database and thumbs are stored in the same directory as the photos, which is what I wanted, but if the thumbs directory is in the same folder as the Library folder, shotwell gets in a recursive loop importing and creating thumbs of thumbs.
I understand a solution is to have separate paths for the database/thumbs and the library of photos, but perhaps shotwell should check for this.
