Content of Xmp.dc.title metadata corrupted when saving image file

When attaching an image, compress the image using Zip/gzip... to prevent gitlab from
Potentially stripping the meta-data
…Shotwell version 0.30.17, installed on Linux Mint 21 Cinnamon, as a Flatpak.
The expected behaviour
…The content of the XMP metadata Xmp.dc.title, that had been set using another photo management software, would not be changed by Shotwell.
What was actually happening
…The content of the XMP metadata Xmp.dc.title is overwritten with an exact copy of the contents of metadata Xmp.dc.description, thereby changing the title of the image.
Steps to reproduce the issue
This issue was discovered while trying to create scanned images of old family photos:-
Scan a photo and create a jpg image file.
Use a different photo image management application to set tags, and metadata for title and description. I used Pix, the default application in the Linux Mint 21 Cinnamon desktop installation.
Open the image file in Shotwell, or Shotwell Viewer, and change the creation date of the image (e.g. set it to 1950).
Save the file.
Inspect the contents of the image metadata, either by opening in Pix, or by using Exiv2. You will see that the contents of Xmp.dc.title has been changed from what was originally set.
