Different libraries via GUI
Please describe the problem you are trying to solve
As a user, I would like to be able to create, modify and delete libraries using a GUI. Such a feature would allow the user to: 1- Maintain different libraries for different purposes e.g. home / work / professional use 2- Create smaller libraries to help with performance 3- Use different versions of the app for testing purposes / sandbox more easily. One could point a specific version at a specific library, which could look at a specific set of folders.
Feature set:
- GUI via preference pane to add, change, delete libraries
- For (3) Library chosen can be specific to an application version installed. For example if I installed repository based version vs flatpak vs build-my-own ... for whichever version the app is launched in, I can define a library to point to. This would help to cover use case above where a different version is desired to be used for testing purposes and avoids pollution of one's standard library / photo collection.
- Ideally option to set library location (e.g. store in pictures folder)
Other solutions you have considered
Command line function exists, but that's for more expert users and I wouldn't want to do that on a regular basis.
