Original description:
Filed downstream at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/source/shotwell/bug/779109 :
The File Menu's second option is “Import From F-Spot†even on systems where F-Spot is not installed. See the excerpt of a screen shot attached.
The reference to F-Spot should not be made unless the program is present on the machine.

This one seems a bit iffy to me. What if I have a backup somewhere (i.e. not the default data location for F-Spot) and I want to import from there? Right now, Shotwell specifically covers that case in the Import dialog. But with this change, the user wouldn't be able to do that.

There's a side issue of the dialog that pops up when the user runs Shotwell for the first time. As I recall, it too offers to import from F-Spot whether or not F-Spot is installed on the system.

Lucas and I discussed. We agree with Eric that this command might be useful even on machines which don't have F-Spot installed (such as new installations of Ubuntu, which are quite common). Marking as wontfix.
