patch ArtDisplayPlugin.cover_art_uri_request so that it will call CoverArtDatabase.get_pixbuf if necessary
Since 0.12.6 the upnp_coherence plugin will now call cover_art_uri_request in order to provide upnp:albumArtURI to UPnP control points. But the artdisplay plugin expects that this method will only be called for songs that are currently being played by rhythmbox. I've attached a patch that corrects this issue for me.

The code tries to turn the lyrics into a unicode object with unicode error checking enabled (which is the default behaviour for the function) but doesn't check for potential errors raised by the call.
The actual call is made by code generated from the template by the template system. I'm not very familiar with Mako templates but I guess the code would either need to convert the string to proper unicode before using it in the template, or somehow tell the template system not to use strict error checking.

Just an idea. I've been using the Podcast area of Rhythmbox to listen to books

rhythmbox version: 0.12.5
"When an iPod is connected, the Last.fm scrobbler plugin usually submits all tracks played on the iPod since the last time it was connected. This was the behaviour in Jaunty. In Karmic, the scrobbler does the same, except that the next time the iPod is connected, the tracks since the last connection AND those from before are submitted, meaning that now, after connecting my iPod 4 times, I have tracks that have been submitted 4 times from a few days ago."
"Here is the output for that. The scrobbles in this one do not date back as far. To do this, I connected my iPod, then after all the recent tracks were scrobbled, i ejected the iPod, closed Rhythmbox and restarted it. Then I re-connected the iPod, and the tracks all scrobbled again. This is the output of that second run of RhythmBox."

When I am browsing through the filesystem, I should be able to right-click any supported music file or multiple files and then enqueue it to the rhythmbox Play Queue.
This should work even if the file is not yet present in the rhythmbox library. The plugin should be intelligent enough and import the file if necessary. Also it should support enqueuing multiple files from within nautilus.
Preferably, it should be written as a Nautilus plugin so that the option to enqueue comes up in the context sensitive menu of Nautilus.

That's because the translation uses double-quotes instead of single quotes. I can think of quite a few languages where this could happen.
The command below needs more safe-guarding against double-quotes or other such characters being used in the string:
console.eval('print "' + \

I listen to music while working. But as soon as I leave the room/computer, the music should pause.
It should continue as soon as I am back.
An optional plugin that stops the music as soon as the screensaver starts (using dbus) would fix this problem.
I am writing such a plugin at the moment and would love feedback.

## Description
[ Original report: http://bugs.debian.org/517090 ]
I would like to kindly request a new feature that I have not yet
noticed in any of the Linux music players (be them rhythmbox, amarok,
quodlibet, audacious etc).
I think that this would be a great thing for the GNOME Desktop (and
for others too), since it would increase the interoperability with
other Operating Systems.
The feature is the following: Apple's iTunes player has the
possibility of playing both CD-DA (with the metadata taken from
databases like gnudb, freedb or, in the particular case of iTunes,
gracenote). I don't have any problems with this, for plain CDs.
OK. The nice feature that it has is the ability to burn MP3/AAC CDs
taken from playlists, neatly organize them in a filesystem structure
of the format:
`<artist>`/`<album>`/`<song>`
and (this is the nice thing), generate a xml file with the contents
of the MP3 CD in a way that it is playable just like a CD-DA, but
with the desired features that:
* it doesn't need a connection to the Internet to grab metadata
(which is, of course, stored both in the xml file and in some file's
metadata). This means that no network connection is necessary to have
information about songs.
* the MP3 CD is treated like a CD-DA, but with a much longer capacity
(say, 12 hours, depending on the bitrate of the songs and their
lengths).
* the songs don't have to be imported into playlists and not even
queued for playing. Just selecting the first song to be played is
enough for it to play the songs (and, of course, it is not always
that we want to import songs to our library).
Not only iTunes can create such CDs, but it can also create DVDs,
which, of course, means that the capacity of those "CDs" is way, way
longer than that of usual audio CDs and in a convenient way to carry
them around.
It would be really nice to be able to play such CDs/DVDs with
rhythmbox, as an improvement on the interoperability factor (and
convenience). In the case of Unix players, more formats could be
considered, of course, than just MP3 and Low Comlexity AAC.
If it were able to create such CDs, then everything would be a dream
come true and many other friends of mine would miss one program less
from their Macs/Windows boxes.

## Description
If the song you are listening isn't very popular, it's very likely that the default lyrics sites (lyrc.com.ar, leoslyrics....) won't provide you anything good.
Then I suggest that, next to "search again" and "edit" buttons in lyrics pane, should be placed a "search in google" button, which opens a firefox (or other browser) instance with the appropriate google search query.
(e.g. to search for Queens' Bohemian Rhapsody something like this http://www.google.com/search?q="bohemian+rhapsody"+"queen" ).
It should be fairy simple to people who knows the lyrics plugin code...
Thank You, Enzo
