## Description
Is it possible to integrate control of mpd into Rhythmbox?
I listen to my music on my home computer at work. At home I've mpd running and streaming the music to an icecast server which I can connect to with Rhythmbox. However, in order to control mpd (add/remove files etc.) I have to use a separate app (at the moment I use gmpc http://sarine.nl/gmpc).
It would be a useful feature to be able to control this from Rhythmbox.
I found this in the archives (http://mail.gnome.org/archives/rhythmbox-devel/2005-September/msg00150.html) and to answer the question, the server is indeed playing the music and the client is a UI for controlling it.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/rhythmbox/-/issues/536Allow rhythmbox to play files from local folders without importing into the m...2018-05-24T13:17:07ZBugzillaAllow rhythmbox to play files from local folders without importing into the music library## Submitted by Thomas Zander

## Description
Every now and then it comes very handy to just play a file in a local folder without importing it into the music library. This is especially the case when one doesn't intend to keep the file forever or wants to listen to it first before deciding whether to keep it or not.
Other popular media players (e.g. exaile) offer a special source (or whatever the equivalent to RBSource is called) for just this reason.
Here is a tiny python plugin that allows RB to do the same, and I would like to suggest inclusion into the official RB svn tree.

A Debian user pointed out that the application gpodder does some good things rhythmbox could imitate.
Among them is the ability to get size information for a podcast. This would be good to know before downloading an especially large file.

Choose a song and play all over again. It does not submit the song multiple times at expected (same as #344827 but probably different cause).
It seems playing-song-changed does not get emitted on repeated plays. This patch "fixes" it, though I don't think it does it the right way.

## Description
A synchronized lyrics feature would be really good, especially if you wanna sing to the song or learn it, etc. Also, other big players (Winamp, Amarok) have plugins for that, but they're complicated and they clutter the UI, but rhythmbox needs a a rather simple and transparent one like the player itself.
I took my try at it and made a patch which follows

## Description
A useful feature would be for rhythmbox to accept archived (.zip, .rar, etc.) audio as valid input. In other words, play music contained within a compressed file without decompressing it.
Why have such a feature ?
There are albums that are distributed in zip or rar files, and it would just be easier (?) if rhythmbox imported the files directly (it's basically the same idea behind zipped comic book readers).
Why just not extract the content to a folder ?
A good question, and another good question would be: "Why just not browse thru the filesystem when wanting to play a song, instead of having a audio library in rhythmbox?"
The answear is the same to both questions, because it's just more practical not having to do those things.

It would be great if there was a "Download all lyrics" button in the "Lyrics" plugin to download all lyrics when the internet is not used. It's specially interesting for low-speed connection owners who have to wait a lot before having the lyrics of X song.
It would also be great to update the lyrics database every time a song is added.
