## Description
Please consider installing this AppData file: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hughsie/fedora-appstream/master/appdata-extra/desktop/postr.appdata.xml
This is used in GNOME and KDE software installers to add the application description and some screenshots. We'd love to showcase more applications, but without the extra data file we can't. The AppData file needs to be installed to /usr/share/appdata/ on Linux and the basename needs to match the .desktop basename. It would also be great if you could integrate the file with your translation system (e.g. intltool) to make the descriptions translated.
See http://people.freedesktop.org/~hughsient/appdata/ for more details; thanks!
Richard

## Description
I'm trying to get the git master code for postr to work on my GTK+3 desktop (GNOME 3.10). I've now hit something that I'm having trouble figuring out.
After adding a photo with drag-and-drop, if I click on the photo, the following error message appears every *other* time:
(postr:21870): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_list_store_get_path: assertion 'iter->stamp == priv->stamp' failed
When that error message appears, the "Add to set" SetCombo drop-down is blanked out and the "Rename" button is greyed. If I click it again, the drop-down says "None" and the "Rename" button is active.
When "Add to set" says "None", I am further unable to upload at all. It reports the following error and locks up the UI, requiring a quit and restart:
(postr:21870): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_list_store_get_value: assertion 'iter_is_valid (iter, list_store)' failed
Traceback (most recent call last):

TypeError: unknown type (null)
Oddly, clicking again to produce the first error, I am able to post, but the photo is not added to any sets. Obviously there is a problem retrieving the value of what set is selected, but I'm not seeing what.
I'm running Gentoo Linux with Gnome 3.10

Patch adding support for gio.FileInputStreams to iptcinfo.py
Hi,
I played around with postr in the last couple of days and really like it. I ran into a problem however when I tried to use the current version in the 'master' branch:
Loading images into postr show up without Title, Description or Tags loaded from IPTC metadata.
Steps To Reproduce
------------------
* Load image containing IPTC metadata with postr
Expected Result
---------------
* The title, description and tags are loaded from IPTC data and displayed in postr next to the image thumbnail.
Actual Result
-------------
* The image title is set to the filename of the image with no additional IPTC metadata.
Suggested solution
==================
I looked into the issue and figured out that the problem has to do with a difference in the seek() method of a python input stream created by file() and that of gio.FileInputStream. They flags defining the origin for seek are different for (1) absolute start and (2) relative to current positioning. Assuming:
>>> fh = file('testfile', 'r')
>>> gfh = gio.GFile('testfile')
The following calls are equivalent:
(1)
>>> fh.seek(0, 0)
>>> gfh.seek(0, type=1)
(2)
>>> fh.seek(0, 1)
>>> gfh.seek(0, type=0)
To fix the problem I added gio.FileInputStream support to the iptcinfo module. Please find a patch attached to this bug report.
Cheers,
Sebastian

## Description
Postr, as the flickr web uploader, recognise some metadata fields corresponding to the title and description of the picture to be uploaded, and autocomplete these fields upon import in Postr.
However, when I use Geeqie to write the title of my picture in metadata, it writes it in the Xmp.dc.title tag (and Iptc.application2.ObjectName if I choose to write the metadata in IPTC too), which is the most appropriate tag in XMP for a title. In this case, Postr ignores this data and sets the Title to the filename.
On the contrary, when I use the web uploader with the same picture and this Xmp.dc.title tag completed, the photo title is set to its value.

## Description
When I click "switch account", my old frob is discarded, so if I want to go back to that account, I have to re-authorise.
For those of us who regularly use two (or more) flickr accounts from one Linux user account, it would be a lot simpler if postr could store account info for several accounts.
I'm not sure how it should look, but perhaps the UI could have an Accounts/User menu:
File | Select | User | Help
where User has the following entries and subentries:
- Login as
- account1
- account2
- New Account
- Remove Login Info for
- account1
- account2
(here for just two accounts, but expandable to an arbitrary number of accounts)

I would love to see the option of uploading by the order of the date taken (i.e. oldest to newest) made available in postr. This is the one killer option in jUploadr that keeps me coming back. The default alphabetical order upload in postr forces me to later edit all of my upload dates in Flick manually to achieve the correct order in my photostream.

## Description
I keep typing Ctrl-A to select all the text in a field, for example an image title, but Postr takes this to mean "select all images". So if I type Ctrl-A and Ctrl-V, meaning to select all the text in the current field and replace it with the buffer, I instead get every single image's title set to the buffer text! I'm currently using Postr for the first time and have entered this key combination three times so far out of habit. I'm not aware of any other Gnome programs which behave like this when the focus is in a text field. I propose that Ctrl-A be left at the usual meaning when editing a text field.
While I'm at it, a way to move up or down in the list of images using the keyboard would be handy too.
Thanks,
Matt
