pitivi doesn't find an installed PyGTK version

Description
Please describe the problem:
The PYTHONDIR variable isn't used at all. But it should contain an additional
path to a directory for pythonlibs.
Steps to reproduce:
- install pygtk in /usr/local/lib/python/site-packages
Actual results:
bash-3.00$ pitivi
PyGTK couldn't be found !
Expected results:
pitivi starting
Does this happen every time?

work around:
bash-3.00$ PYTHONPATH=/usr/local/lib/python2.4/site-packages/ pitivi
works
