## Description
The "live trim preview" feature (http://jeff.ecchi.ca/blog/2012/03/07/trim-like-a-professional-hair-stylist/) could be made to work in a GTK popover holding the trimming preview right over the trimming handle. I think it would an improvement as the eye would stay contextualized (given a reasonably sized popover ;), it would look nice visually, and allow keeping the view of the frame at the playhead in the viewer at all times.

## Description
Would be nice to have "pinch zoom" (to change the zoom level) and swiping (to scroll the timeline) at least. Specifically, GtkGestureZoom and GtkGestureSwipe are probably what we're looking for, among other things in https://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/Gestures.html
For an introduction to gestures in GTK, see:

## Description
For small files there is no problem, but when you're exporting a project that has a lot of clips or heavy files (multi-hundred-megabytes for example), the UI will lock up during the tarballing operation.
This should run in the background, and we should show a progressbar (in the media library like when you import clips?)

## Description
A checkbox should be added to the render dialog: "Only the selected region". It should be disabled by default.
If the user enables it and there is no interval/region selected on the timeline, it should explain what's missing and point to the user manual somehow.
