Pasting a clip does not select it

Create a title clip. Edit its text. Copy that clip. Position the time marker at desired time. Paste the clip. A copy of the title clip appears. Modify the text.

You will have expected to modify the text of the pasted clip, but no: you have modified (possibly: destroyed) the text of the original.

Pasting a selected clip must change selection to the newly created clip, as is common in comparable software.
