Hello,
First of all, I'm running Fedora 17, pitivi 0.15.2 installed with system's packages. My workstation is sufficient enough to handle the movie I'm trying to render.
Wll, I tried to render some videos, using default settings, but they always hangs.
Searching around, I found how to produce a debug log with:
PITIVI_DEBUG=*:5 GST_DEBUG=2 /usr/bin/pitivi > debug.log 2>&1
I'd like to highlight that the software doesn't hangs, and it's possible to cancel the rendering process.
Looking at the log, it seems the rendering halts a little after this message:
0:02:57.921647913 [333m29150[00m 0x7ff86c03f0f0 [33;01mWARN [00m [00m ffmpeg gstffmpegdec.c:2297:gst_ffmpegdec_frame:<ffdec_h26422>
[00m ffdec_h264: decoding error (len: -1, have_data: 0)
but since it happens also
0:00:04.369202185 [333m29150[00m 0x7ff8b8011450 [33;01mWARN [00m [00m ffmpeg gstffmpegdec.c:2297:gst_ffmpegdec_frame:<ffdec_h2641>
[00m ffdec_h264: decoding error (len: -1, have_data: 0).
Anyway, rendering with command line won't result in hangs, or to be precise: pitivi never terminates, but at least the movie is fully rendered.
Hope it helps
