Font rendering adds spacing every third character on Windows with Pango 1.48.6
Since msys2 has updated pango to 1.48.6, we're seeing some odd rendering issues on Windows with "inverted" characters in our dialogs using a custom font.
We (VICE) use a custom font to display directory contents of virtual floppies, a ttf version of the ROM font of the Commodore 64. The font in question is here: https://sourceforge.net/p/vice-emu/code/HEAD/tree/trunk/vice/data/common/C64_Pro_Mono-STYLE.ttf
The first screenshot is my build using an msys2 install I haven't updated in a few weeks, using Pango 1.48.5-2, the second is the build created via our Github buildbot, using Pango 1.48.6-1:
Both screenshots were created on my Win7 VM, but the issue also happens on Windows 10. On Linux and Mac the issue isn't present, and I'm told on Windows 10 with a 125% scaled desktop the issue disappears. Both builds have Gtk 3.24.29, GLib 2.68.3 and Cairo 1.17.4, it's only Pango that differs.
