Shorter sample text (pangram) for pt_BR
Hi,
The pt_BR
sample text in pango/pango-language-sample-table.h
is very long (126 characters; for comparison, "the quick brown fox..." is 44).
This is so because it includes all valid letter + diacritic combinations. Since the instructions in the file state that the sample phrase need not be a pangram (i.e., it is ok to not include all characters), I believe providing all letters and diacritics but not all possible combinations of both is more adequate, as in:
- vejo galã sexy pôr quinze kiwis à força em baú achatado ("I see a sexy hunk forcefully stuff fifteen kiwis in a shallow trunk"), which is 61 characters long.
This sample is also suitable for the "pt" language; the current one has only one diacritic.
In case this matters, I created this pangram, so there are no licensing issues.

A 90 character long phrase, also by me, that includes all valid letter + diacritic combinations: "ré só que vê galã sexy pôr kiwi talhado à força em baú põe juíza má em pânico" ("lonely defendant that sees a sexy hunk forcefully stuff a rotten kiwi in a trunk sets evil judge in panic").
