sticky caps lock with orca when an external keyboard is
A consistent way to reproduce the problem seems to be as follows:
- Make sure that orca is configured to use capslock key as the orca modifier.
- Launch gedit and type some text inside the editor.
- Make sure the text you typed in step 2 is all lowercase.
- Press capslock only once and type something else.
- Again make sure that what you typed in the previous step is in lower case.
- Connect an external keyboard to the computer.
- Type something else using the computer keyboard or the external keyboard connected in the previous step.
- Again make sure that what you typed in the previous step is in lower case.
- Now press the capslock key once and type something else.
Note that the text you typed in the previous step is in upper case, indicating that capslock has been turned on.
Since we are using capslock as the orca modifier key, capslock should only be turned on if pressed twice.
If orca is restarted the problem disappears but if the external keyboard is disconnected the problem reappears.
I tested several times and the result was always the same.
