Some help needed to adapt the JAWS and NVDA shortcuts to Orca
Hello the Orca team,
I am the lead developer of the Debian-based GNU/Linux distribution Emmabuntüs https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmabunt%C3%BCs
We have been working for years to implement Linux-based computer rooms in Togo https://emmabuntus.org/numerique-libre-au-service-de-la-jeunesse-et-de-leducation-au-togo/
For our new project in Togo, in collaboration with YovoTogo and the Togolese national association of disabled people, we want to equip blind people with Emmabuntüs and the Orca screen reader. And to ease the transition for blind people from their current JAWS or NVDA solution based on Windows, we would like to enable within Orca the keyboard shortcuts used by default by JAWS and NVDA.
Do you already have this type of configuration in the ~/.local/share/orca/user-settings.conf file?
Otherwise, could you help us to find the definition of the keybindings contained in this file?
As the voice synthesis is going to be in French language, we plan to install the mbrola and svox pico voice synthesizers. Could you please tell us if these are the best quality voice synthesizers that can be installed in Orca under Debian 12?
We are currently preparing our first demonstrator, which will be submitted to the people in charge of training and support for blind people in Togo, and we hope that our solution will suit them, so that we can obtain their validation and deploy it in Togo.
Thank you in advance for your your help and support.
