nm-connection-editor: "Cannot save connection due to error: Invalid setting Wi-Fi Security: No certificate set" when 802-1x.system-ca-certs is set to yes
Description of problem: nm-connection-editor doesn't seem to support 802-1x.system-ca-certs setting at all. When it's set to yes, it won't let me save the connection e.g. after setting a new password.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
How reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
- Set up WPA2 Enterprise Wi-Fi connection with PEAP authentication (inner MSCHAPv2).
- Try editing the connection in
nm-connection-editoragain (e.g. change the password).
Actual results: Unable to save the connection (Save button greyed-out) unless I select a file for CA certificate. The following message is displayed on the terminal: Cannot save connection due to error: Invalid setting Wi-Fi Security: No certificate set
Expected results: I should be able to save the connection after modifying it.
There should be an option to use system certificates without specifying a specific CA certificate file. I guess I expect that setting
802-1x.system-ca-certs yes should be equivalent to setting
at least on Fedora. That seems to work for me.
