Drag and drop moving/copying frequently pathlologically delayed
Drag and drop file move/copy actions in Nautilus 3.26.0 are frequently not acted upon until after a long delay (somewhere between 30 seconds and 2 minutes), after either Nautilus has been running for a while, or after a few drag/drop actions (not sure which).
- This didn't seem to be an issue on 3.24.x
- This happens both between tabs and between windows.
- There is no feedback at all during the delay - the drop cursor looks correct, just nothing happens subsequently (no progress indicator, file doesn't move/copy) until after 30+ seconds.
- Repeating the drag action results in the same action being "queued" (delayed), resulting in errors (e.g. source file doesn't exist, or destination already exists) as expected from trying to perform the same action multiple times.
- I've seen this on GNOME Wayland (not sure about GNOME on X11).
- The same actions performed using cut/paste (via mouse or keyboard) occur immediately. This can even be done while waiting for the drag/drop equivalent to complete (although that obviously eventually results in an error message).
- Killing/restarting Nautilus and retrying the drag/drop file operation seems to result in drag/drop file operations working immediately.
