Dot number filenames sort order is counter-intuitive
The bug has been described on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1364237
$ for i in {000..010..5};do touch $i $i.5;done
ls -1
000
000.5
005
005.5
010
010.5
On Nautilus:
000 000.5 005.5 005 010 010.5
See:
- 000 comes before 000.5
- 005 comes after 005.5 (happens from
0*01
to0*09
, I don't know why) - 010 comes before 010.5
