Do not show thumbnails for the 2nd zoom level in ListView mode
This is a follow-up to https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=752805
Back then, I suggested to not display thumbnails in listview mode for the lower zoom levels ("Small" and "Normal") when in listview mode, because those thumbnails are too small to be useful and are just polluting my view with visual noise. A function was implemented in commit 52dd77c4 to do that for the smallest zoom level (thanks! it really helped, from my experience using it since then), but it seems the 2nd zoom level got ignored for the sake of the patch.
Some months later (if I recall correctly) Nautilus added a 4th zoom level (or the default zoom level changed, or something)... and I decided I'd give it some time to see if I'd find the thumbnails in the 2nd zoom level useful, but after two years I can say that nope, they've still got the same issue as the 1st zoom level: I can't recognize anything significant and and I would prefer it to be all icons.
If you look at the screenshot below, I consider the list on the right to be much easier on the eyes than the one on the left, where I can't recognize anything anyway:
If I wanted to actually see the thumbnails, I'd zoom in to the 3rd or 4th zoom level.
Could you extend the nautilus_thumbnail_is_limited_by_zoom
behavior of the 1st zoom level to the 2nd one? Otherwise the only case where I could see it making sense is for very small-resolution images (like icons), which might warrant a special case, but not even sure that's needed (not that many users look at folders of icons in practice...)
I suspect this is just changing the line if (zoom_level <= NAUTILUS_LIST_ICON_SIZE_SMALL)
to if (zoom_level <= NAUTILUS_LIST_ICON_SIZE_NORMAL)
, but I'm just guessing here.
