Nautilus freezes when/before copying files sometimes
Sometimes, when I copy a file, Nautilus freezes for some seconds.
Reproducible: Sometimes (but when it happens once, it is reproducible every time afterwards with each item I copy, be it a dir or a file)
Introduced: With Fedora 27 update, I think
STR:
- Just right-click -> copy on something. (I used Ctrl+C in my tests.)
- Nautilus freezes for 2-5 seconds, you cannot click on anything or see any effects, at least it does not do anything. (Actually, I usually do something else when it is doing this, i.e. I can happily use any other application)
- When Nautilus finished whatever strange thing it though it had to do (
😉 ), it resumes without any problems. (Actually, as I used another application in between, GNOME notifies me that Nextcloud is ready now – which is, particularly in this case, actually true and practical.) - Now I can Ctrl+V anywhere else and it copies the files as it is supposed to do.
Fedora 27
Also: IIRC it does not make a difference whether I copy (Ctrl+C) or move (Ctrl+X) files/folders…
