this is undesirable for users because they'll have to go digging to find the folder within the terminal.
ideally we'd be given an option to decide where to mount the folder, but minimally giving a way to view the folder path would suffice.

# Affected version
Arch Linux, nautilus 3.34.2-1
# Steps to reproduce
1. Search for any string in Files
2. Select multiple files, usually more than 3
3. Press F2 to open "Rename # Files" dialog
4. Click radio button "Find and replace text"
# Current behavior
Clicking the button "Find and replace text" with, usually more than 3, files selected crashes Nautilus/Files. Occasionally, opening the "Rename # Files" dialog at all will crash Nautilus with many files selected. I have noticed this crash with several of the past few minor versions of Nautilus.
# Expected behavior
Select radio button "Find and replace text"
Rename files
Not crash Files

Add another files view that is adapted for moving or copying files on small screen or to avoid multiple nautilus instances opening for moving items in the same parent path. Also, it gives better view to the user of the arborescence on its files.
Ideally support automatic folder's opening in item's path. Here is macOS implementation :

### Desired behavior
Toogle column view on title bar to show column view of folders :

The cut works fine I guess. I am cutting in nautilus and pasting in gedit to test this.
I am using `Nautilus 1:3.34.1-1ubuntu1` on `Ubuntu 19.10` that was upgraded from `Ubuntu 19.04` which was pasting the path with extra commands on it like described in another issue here.
I am really disappointed. These copy and paste issues are kind annoying. Why this is not fixed yet? This is the most basic feature for a file manager. 1. Create a folder (`mkdir permission-denied`)
2. Make it owned by another user (`sudo chown root:root permission-denied`)
3. Try to delete it in Nautilus
4. Nautilus will act like it was deleted, but if you refresh the view, the folder reappears
# Expected behavior
Nautilus should inform you that you don't have permission to delete the folder, and not be left in an inconsistent state.

I think this is a fairly basic long-running convention that is definitely quicker than choosing rename from a context menu. Especially when doing it for a lot of individual files.

Please test if the issue was already fixed in the unstable version of the app.
For that, follow these steps:
1. Make sure Flatpak is installed or install it following these steps https://flatpak.org/setup
2. Install the unstable version of the app following this link
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-apps-nightly/raw/master/NautilusMaster.flatpakref and save

# Current behavior
<!-- Describe the current behavior. -->
Each zfs dataset that is mounted in the user's home directory shows up in the sidebar. I haven't been able to find any way to disable this behavior. This behavior is counter productive to the purpose of the sidebar. Having so many items in the sidebar creates a situation where there is so much noise in the sidebar it's hard to find things quickly and I have to scroll to the bottom of the sidebar to find what I'm actually looking for.

# Expected behavior
<!-- Describe the expected behavior. -->
I would be nice if there were some mechanism in place to remove unwanted items from the sidebar that works with zfs.

<!-- Describe what problem(s) the user is experiencing and that this request

This feature helps users to find files more easily, especially in folders where there are many files.
A similar feature exists in Windows' Explorer and macOS's Finder.
Here are some details about how Finder uses this feature:

### Desired behavior
<!-- Describe the desired functionality. -->
An _Arrange by [...]_/_Group by [...]_ feature that:
* Groups all files based on their type (pdf, zip, csv, etc.), recency (today, this week, last month, etc.), size (small, big, large)
* In each group, allows the user to sort by another dimension
* Displays the groups in alphabetical order
### Benefits of the solution
<!-- List the possible benefits of the solution and how it fits in the project. -->
Improved user experience. This is of course subjective along the same lines in which one user might prefer the list view and another might prefer the icon view.
### Possible drawbacks

Describe possible drawbacks of the feature and list how it could affect
the project i.e. UI discoverability, complexity, impact in more or less

If Nautilus can support this feature, it's very convenient sometimes.

Support to search path

If Nautilus can support this feature, it's very convenient sometimes.
I just don't want to open or switch to Nautilus frequently for entering a path...

<!-- Describe what problem(s) the user is experiencing and that this request
is trying to solve. -->
Environmental variables are very useful as they are short and consise replacement for varying paths to folders and files.
For example: $HOME is always equal to the current user's home folder.
Right now these Environmental variables are only available to Shell/Terminal users for use.
Using $HOME variable in Nautilus will result in an error of "folder does not exist" and similar.
Which is horrible of course for the workflow.
### Desired behavior
<!-- Describe the desired functionality. -->
When I open Nautilus and press CTRL+L, I would like to type $HOME variable there and do not get the error.
Instead what I want: Nautilus opening my Home folder.
### Benefits of the solution
<!-- List the possible benefits of the solution and how it fits in the project. -->
The biggest benefit is the workflow, it will save a lot of time and energy in the long run.
### Possible drawbacks

There is none, as of now, I can't come up with any.
