Full file list deterioates usability
When the item list is full, as in there are more files and folders, than can be displayed on a single page, usability worsens as some actions are no longer possible:
1. Selection overlay hides file info
When selecting files in the right bottom corner, an overlay appears, showing the number and size of the selected items. This overlay hides the info of the last item in the list. Especially the last columns are not visible (e.g. the date of the file)
When selecting files based on a pattern that is determined by this column, this becomes a problem. Let's say I want to select all files with a specific date. What I usually do then is sort by date and select first and last file that satisfy my chosen date range. But when starting to select the first file it becomes impossible to check the date of the last file.
Maybe it would be possible, when scrolling down, to let the list move up a little further than to the last entry? Then the last columns would still be readable. Also there would be space for a right click. -> see next issue
2. Right click options on empty space are no longer possible
Right clicking on empty space can normally be used to reach many useful actions, like creating a new folder or pasting files. When the file list is full, no empty space is available to click on.
Still a (imho non-intuitive) workaround exists: After clicking on the current folder in the top bar, hitting the 'Menu' key on the keyboard has the same effect.
Maybe it would be possible to add space (like for example the height of a normal entry) at the beginning and end of the list to allow clicking there?
What do you think?
